Get your jelly on #10 – ALOE VERA

Day 10.

Life has been hectic. While juggling between jellies the Royal Selangor 30-day ‘Get your jelly on’ challenge, I also spent the whole weekend cooking up a storm at MasterChef Live and Malaysia Festival. I had a fantastic time meeting so many people who came up to say hi and still a little surreal that people asked me for photos and autographs (Get over yourself, Billy!) Hopefully there will be more future appearances and I get to meet you guys for more food! :)

But can’t fun all the time, I’m sure some of us are suffering the Monday blues and back to work again. But I hope my video will cheer you up a little. Also a more healthy jelly with Aloe Vera to detox after all the food last the weekend.

I actually only came across aloe vera drink not so long ago and quite enjoyed it. The drink is rather refreshing like a coconut juice with bit of aloe vera jelly to chew on. Whether it has health benefits or not, I don’t know, but some people do believe it is good for your digestive system and heartburn, etc.

This time I set the drink into jelly. And to balance the sweetness of the drink, I added sour cherries. You can add anything you like really, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, is up to you! I had it the other night with some chopped up fruit and a scoop of vanilla ice cream, I was satisfied.

Well, will it jiggle? I hope Dolly will cheer you up too!

And make sure you come back each day for a new tit-illating video! Seriously, there are some really good ones that you simply can’t take your eyes off! :D

ALOE VERA
200ml Aloe Vera drink (from asian supermarket)
1.5 gelatine sheet titanium grade
10 sour cherries

Method
1. Soak gelatin sheets in cold water to soften.
2. heat up 50ml of aloe vera drink to boiling point. Drop the softened gelatin sheet in, stir to dissolve. Then pour the mixture with the remaining aloe vera drink.
3. Pour 1 inch of the mixture into mould, then drop a cherry in, transfer to freezer and let it set for 10 mins.
4. Take it back out, pour another inch of the mixture, then drop more cherries in, back to freezer and let it set for another 10 mins.
5. Repeat the step until the mould is filled.

You may need bigger molds for a more “Dolly” look. Love the video.

There’s something special about a clear jelly. Very cool.

First bar of the song started in the video and I burst out laughing! Tragically, a real favourite of mine.

But be honest… You didn’t choose the song because of how hectic work’s been. It’s all about Dolly’s, ummm, “assets”, isn’t it?

I was really amazed at the same time entertained seeing that the video you have made it here makes us aware of it. I have copied the link and shared on my facebook wall as to make it known to my circle of friends.
