Get your jelly on #03 – LADY IN RED

Day 3.
I see red, I see red, I see red.
There are already some really good jellies by all the bloggers who take part in the Royal Selangor 30-day ‘Get your jelly on’ challenge! Go and check them out!
I know theย Breast Cancer Awareness Month is all about pink colour, but pink is simply not my colour! Hence, my third jelly is dedicated to all the foxy ladies out there who loves to wear red. I give you the Lady in Red.
For this recipe, the secret ingredient – PASSION POP! Who doesn’t know what Passion Pop is, it is a cheap thrill for those who can’t afford expensive champagne, especially high school kids, bring back memories doesn’t it?
I picked up a bottle for like no more than $6.00 and only use a quarter of it! Since it is alcoholic, you will need more gelatine to make it set. I’ve had few failures by using gelatine sheets and didn’t add enough and it just won’t set. I eventually using strawberry Aeroplane jelly and it worked like a treat. The strawberry flavour jello with the Passion Pop go hand in hand, and you get that subtle tingly fizzy feeling on each mouthful too! Worth give it a try.
Oh, don’t forget the gold leaf for that extra elegant touch! Because diamonds are a girl’s best friend! Well, gold too!
More importantly, will it jiggle? And guess what song I am going to use with this time?
And make sure you come back each day for a new tit-illating video! Seriously, there are some really good ones that you simply can’t take your eyes off!
LADY IN RED 100ml Passion Pop strawberry champagne 1/2 sheet gold leaf 2 tbsp strawberry flavour aeroplane jelly powder 50ml hot water 100ml cold water Method 1. Add strawberry jelly powder to hot water, stir until dissolved. Then add the cold water and passion pop to mix well. 2. Pour mixture into jelly mould and transfer to fridge, check it 30 mins. 3. It should be chilled but not quite set, add the gold leaf, use a skewer and whisk the chilled jelly mixture vigorously to break the gold leaf into tiny speckles. 4. Let it chill until set.

Hey Billy,
Today or rather this evening at 7.26pm, in the Netherlands, you were just being eliminated. I had to shout out loud, frustrated. Didn’t know you were Malaysian (I miss the show sometimes – away) until I got in here. You are very talented Billy. All thumbs up..
And this red jelly with all the music and presentation, is awesome. Red is my color.
Cheers,
A Malaysian in the Netherlands 11.17pm NL time

Best for the future, and keep cooking!
pretty gold flakes <3
HILARIOUS!! The Passion Pop, the song choice, the gold. This entry is an absolute classic. It’s nice to associate Passion Pop with something other than cheap ar*e friends bringing it round on a Saturday for pre-fuelling for a night out! :/
