Me doing what I do best on Earth Hour

Eat.
I don’t really care what other people think about Earth Hour – a waste of time when the corporate buildings still have lights on, only hippies into saving the earth, turn off light and burn more candles that use more resources to make them… bla bla blah…
Whatever.
To me, I think Earth Hour is the perfect timing to bring out the fondue set and let yourself drown in hot melted chocolate (well not literally, that can cause nasty burn with blisters), indulge yourself like no tomorrow.

The big barrel of Callebaut chocolate always taunting me every time I visit Harris Market. Finally I got the chance to stick my hand into that big pile of chocolate and pulled out the biggest block of them all for the chocolate fondue night.
Chocolate I LOVE YOU!
I am usually not a “bubbly” person, but more a wine enthusiast. Somehow there are lots of bubbly left from dinner parties in the house and they are all “PINK” – funny that. Bubbly, chocolate, I am not complaining.
I am not sure about you, I am loving Earth Hour already!

This is one of the best articles I’ve seen on Earth hour! Way to go!

Ahh brilliant! Candlelight, fondue and bubbly how suitable! Great shots but how come none of the pool of awesome chocolate?

Prickly looking dessert but a very interesting take on fondue fruit display. A great way to spend Earth hour and so fitting in hindsight

ahh! i have the same excess-stock-of-pink-bubbles issue too.

@Peter G: I like the lights off now and again, with chocolate… I cant do it anytime!

@Howard: Ha! only you can bothered to drive 1.5 hr up here. You been eating well yourself, dont think you need my humble cooking
@Helen (GrabYourFork): Hehehe… I know… that 2 kg of Lindt… thank god this time it melted alright, only at the end it gets cloggy from the fruit juice.
@FFichiban: I know, well if Bungalow 8 was too dark to take photos, imagine taking photos just with few candlelight! The chocolate looks just like a pool of black mud. So didnt bother in the end.
@Simon: The prickly thing makes fruit taste better in my opinion.
@shez: Do it, in this rainy day. perfect for some hot melted chocolate.
awesome pics! YUM!

I think they’re all so beautiful! you could make the crappiest dish into something looking so glam!
Such a great way to celebrate earth hour. I didn’t care about it either. Actually i was in the city that day and all the lights were still on that you could hardly notice earth hour was actually happening.
Great idea to have candle lit fondu night. Rarely see entries with fondu.
