Went her on strength of reviews. What a down.

Took a seat, ordered coffee, was told “That’s simple.” It sure was, after asking 3 times ofer 30 minutes where our coffees were, we decided to leave. Both the waiter and barista gave me vacant looks when I told them we were leaving very disappointed.

Then they asked me to pay for the coffees we had not been served!!!! Once I explained I was offered free coffee but, since we had tickets for a show at the comedy festival which started in 10 minutes we left. In hindsight, probably one of the highlights of the festival, it certainly was comedy hour@ Degraves Espresso Bar. Never again, there are so many good places in the area, couldn’t be bothered going back.

anytime you’re in melbourne on a weekday, do try 7 grams on church st, richmond. a little off town, but their coffee ROCKS, they won a world championship in coffee making or something..

Or there is another place in the city that serves AMAZING coffee, pellegrinis espresso on the corner of bourke st and spring st. They serve great pasta too, and it has a special rustic american diner ambience to it.

I think you might mean Degraves Espresso Bar (s not x).
I love Degraves lane – the crepe place is delish!
