Fridaylicious 101 – #14

cookbook1

It’s Friday! And I am looking forward to the long weekend! I can see there will be lots of eating involved for the next three days. It is my birthday next week after all, so I am allowed to do that. Eating aside, hopefully I will also able to spend quality time at home cooking and baking. If you are in the cooking mood like I do, perhaps today’s Fridaylicious will give you some inspirations? So today is all about food, cook, and book.

1. Cravat-a-licious by Matt Preston

cookbook4

Some called him the teddy bear, and some called him the Sexy Beast, and some are simply horny and want his babies. Matt Preston, the cravat-wearing critic who has become a cult icon as one of the judges on Masterchef Australia TV show has just launched his new book, titled Cravat-a-licious. Matt will talk about his food experience around the world from the best restaurant to the grungy hole on the wrong side of town. You will also find simple solutions from making jams to a perfect risotto, you finally get to read Matt playing with his wooden spoon. Yes, if you purchase the book now, you will also get a free wooden spoon comes with the book, while stocks last. But I wish it is actually a puffy pastry instead of wooden spoon, so I can stroke it and groan in pleasure, Matt style. At $34,95, now you can have Matt holding a fork, on your bed side table watching you sleep.

2. The Testicle Cookbook

cookbook3Uh huh. As the title says, it is all about “cooking with balls”. I can already see my squeamish male readers are holding their crotches, checking their two love chestnuts just to make sure they are still there. With over twenty years experience of preparing, cooking and eating a wide range of testicles, this self-taught chef Ljubomir Erovic is definitely no ‘nut’case for publishing this exotic cookbook. There are graphic step-by-step pictogram on how to de-sacked the tes-ti-o-cles. A sharp knife is highly recommended as Erovic says.

“All testicles are edible, except human’s of course,” says Erovic. I am sure Hannibal Lector will have something to say about that. But what is Tony Soprano from The Soprano’s doing on the front cover of the cookbook?

The Testicle cookbook is available in e-book format online, comes with video demonstrations.

RRP: £5.99

Here is a video of Erovic how to prepare a ballsy testicle pizza.

3. Natural Harvest

cookbook5Natural Harvest, what a beautiful name for a cookbook, but I still don’t understand what seamen has to do with this cookbook. Ohhh… you mean.. Se…. Eeewwww!!!!

“A collection of Semen-based recipes”, just as the title says, this cookbook is for those who likes that little extra “flavour”.  According to the author of the book, Paul “Fotie” Photenhauer, “Semen is not only nutritious, but it also has a wonderful texture and amazing cooking properties. Like fine wine and cheeses, the taste of semen is complex and dynamic. Semen is inexpensive to produce and is commonly available in many, if not most, homes and restaurants.” Okay, are you gross out yet?

This 61-page cookbook covers from drink to dessert, you can shake up a Almost White Russian cocktail, and have a Slightly Saltier Caviar for appetizer, even though Man Made Oyster sounds really appetizing. Everyone loves their lamb, especially with Good Gravy, with a side of Pungent Aioli, and desserts are just way too many to choose from: Creamy Cum Crepes, Cum Creme Caramel, Cream Eclair, Spunky candied Pecans, Chocolate truffle with white center, and Tiramisu Surprise. I think I need extra Durex rubbers to doggy-bag…

You can add this cookbook to your collection at only US$24.95. What if you dont have a man in your life or you are a widow, can you substitute the semen with something else like barley water? And will different ethnic backgrounds provide different flavoured semen? Hmm, I’ll stop here.

HAPPY LONG WEEKEND EVERYONE!

I was like “Ewwww” when I realised what was on top of the pizza in the first photo, then it was double eww, eww, eww with the semen cookbook.

BTW, you should put “3″ instead of “2″ against the Natural Harvest! Semen can kinda be described as “natural harvest” no?! Haha!

    What, no penis recipes?

Oh, no wait. Are you suggesting that he’s the dick? :)

I like how Matt doesn’t take himself too seriously. This looks like it would be an interesting book, if not just for the goofy pictures.
