Billy, I grew up in Malaysia but I've never seen this gadget before! Coincidentally I've had soft boiled eggs this whole week and every day I tried to think of a way of making perfect soft boiled...not always successfully. And now I'll be looking around the house to see how I can put together a make-shift gadget like yours since I doubt they sell it here in NZ. Oh I made your kaya recipe this arvo - turned out verra nice, just nice and not too sweet, I'm happy! However I didn't use the double broiler method. I know what I'll be having for breakfast tomorrow :P

Do you use white pepper out of a bag?

A tip for your next video: choose a different camera view so we don't see so much hand and arm blocking the action.

I love the video! It reminds me of the days when my Dad would get up in the wee hours of the morning and cook soft-boiled eggs in this lil invention for me and my sister before heading to school.
