The busy schedule has finally got me and now I am coming down with something. The throat is itchy, the nose is blocked, and my eyes are watery, been suffering hay fever for the last few days and I can’t taste and smell anything. Urgh! My world is definitely upside down, inside out at the moment!
For this jelly, I have this crazy idea of having a jelly inside another jelly, but upside down. And the only way to really show the effect is by having a colour jelly inside a clear jelly. So, I chose raspberry jelly with lemonade jelly combination, it actually tasted like a cream soda drink. I served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and tasted exactly like a float!
It might look simple, but it can be very tricky to make as it involves a few stages. I had to make the red jelly first, take it out, and then move on to make the first stage of the clear jelly and let it set before I can put the jelly back in and finished it off with the 2nd stage. It was extremely tricky to place a set jelly back inside the mould upside down, you just have to be very gentle with it.
The jelly is ultra soft and wobbly, it didn’t just taste good, and I am sure it won’t disappoint on the “Will It Jiggle?” test either! Let’s watch it wobble like no tomorrow! Funny because I keep thinking the jelly actually looks like a fat guy in his red y-front jiggling about.
And make sure you come back each day for a new tit-illating video! Seriously, there are some really good ones that you simply can’t take your eyes off!
UPSIDE DOWN, INSIDE OUT 2 tbsp strawberry jelly powder 50ml hot water 200ml of lemonade soda (I used SPRITE) 2 titanium grade gelatin sheets 1. add hot water to jelly powder, stir to dissolve. Pour into jelly mould, transfer to fridge and let it set. Once ready, take it out and put on a plate and leave it in the fridge before move on to next step. 2. Soak gelatin sheet in cold water. Pour 100ml of lemonade in saucepan and heat up. Add gelatin sheet into the saucepan, stir to dissolve. Then pour the remaining lemonade into the saucepan. 3. Pour about 50ml of the mixture into the jelly mould, transfer to freezer and let it set in 10 min. 4. Once set, place the red jelly on top of the lemonade jelly inside the mould, then pour the remaining lemonade mixture into the mould full to the brim. Let it set in the fridge.
