Go Poh on Masterchef Australia!

MALAYSIA BOLEH!
The sweat,
the greasy hair,
the pastry stroking,
the crying love affair,
the scientific peas,
the “Chop! Chop!” time,
or perhaps that “Cooking for life” cringey comment…
Sadly Masterchef Australia is on its final week with only 5 contestants left.
You must be so sick of these 3 words by now: Foodblogger, Malaysian, Masterchef.
First thing I noticed when I become a foodblogger was there are SO MANY MALAYSIAN FOODBLOGGERS out there!!! And they are all addicted to Masterchef Australia TV show! Shameless I am also a big fan of this TV show, so as my fellow blogger friends including ChocolateSuze and GrabYourFork, religiously glued to the Masterchef online chat, a real time chat with fiery comments and swears while talking screaming at the screen when the show is on every night.
There’s 20, and now down to 5. A few of my favorites are still in the final 5 including Julie and of course, another Malaysia expat, Poh! I like how Poh dare to be different and creative, and let her artisitc flair shines in her cooking. Not to mention, those Malaysian cooking of hers are making me homesick. And guess what, I am going back to Malaysia in 2 weeks times! HELLO MALAYSIAN FOOD! HERE I COME!!!
Hence as a fellow Malaysian food lover, I am all for POH!
GO POH!!!
加油!
(pronounce: Jee-arr Yoouu – the encouragement cheers in Chinese, also meaning ‘add oil’ in Chinese, how approrpiate!)
So who do you want to see to be the first winner of Masterchef Australia?

A Table For Two (ATFT) is Billy Law's food blog that features best eats in Sydney and around the world with drool-worthy food photography to salivate your appetite. I also throw in a smidgen of my food and travel photography for good measure. Billy Law also happened to be a contestant on MasterChef Australia 2011.

Poh has replaced Lucas and Julie to become my favorite contestant. I love how crazy she is! Not to mention her artistic flair and versatility. Sadly she attracts a lot of bashing on the Masterchef forums. Go Poh!
pohleaseeee, but yes everyone has a soft spot for Poh! Have fun in Malaysia, I still remember the awesome food I had in Penang!

i do admire poh’s willingness to try new things and never going for the safe option. i’ve always had a soft spot for julie but realistically i think justine is a special to win.

How many chances are they going to give Poh? When she first tried out they didn’t like her dish so she was allowed to run home to mummy to get ingredients for a different dish. Then she was eliminated, then brought back. Now it looks as if she may win. Although I like her I think it is unfair that this is her third chance when Julie and Chris have not had that same preferential treatment. And, to me, that is exactly what it is. Preferential Treatment! She should be GONE. Either, Julie or Chris will have at least earned the title of Australia’s Master Chef and not by getting 3 chances to do so.
Poh could plate up a boiled egg with tomato sauce and still not be eliminated. All the advantage and a disastrous presentation: but who goes home? Not Poh.
Go Poh. I hope you will win! Top two. Well done!!!!
I am ecstatic that Poh got through. I don’t think her dishes were as funky as George’s reaction on the show. He calls himself a chef an a creative person! Crawl out of your cultural hole! Poh’s dishes and book would be great for the American and Japanese market! Not to mention China and south east Asia! Great job Poh! I’m rooting for you!
@Sam: I think Julie just had her preferential treatment, don’t you think? She didn’t even plate up her dishes like the two others. Poh is consistent with her cooking and she got eliminated was due to her lack of leadership in the challenge, which got nothing to do with her cooking what so ever. So I do think she deserves a second chance to come back.
I AM FOR POH!! like you can’t tell?! LOL
