Fridaylicious 101 – #1

1. wasara - The beauty of disposable; 2. ONE tea kettle - innovative with boiling in mind; 3. Up close & personal with Pierre Herme at The Selby
Yay! It’s casual Friday! I am taking it easy on Friday – no heavy blogging, no recipes, no reviews but instead some food related gadgets, articles, anything that is food related that I think is interesting, funny or simply nonsense. So here’s some food for thought to share with you guys on a casual Friday!

Wasara – disposable paper ware for spiritual enrichment
Who said paper plate and cup has to be ugly? Wasara, a Japanese company blends traditional creative with simplicity to produce this eco-friendly disposable paper ware that is useful and yet a truly work of art on itself. The elegant flowing forms will accentuate the delicacy of the cuisine – seriously I think even the SPAM serves on this paper plate will taste 10 times better. Now I just wish this paper ware will soon be available internationally. (only available in Japan)

ONE – an innovative tea kettle designed by Vessel
ONE, an innovative tea kettle, is the winner of the World Kitchen Tea-Off 2009 designed by Vessel, a branding design company in Chicago. An ingenious design by using heat-sensitive thermostat ink for the graphic on the kettle which only visible as an indication when the water is boiled. And also heat-activated magnet as the base so the kettle can be placed safely on the table and detach itself once the kettle is cool.
I am totally sold on that Space Invader design. Now we just have to wait for the concept to become a reality. I want one!

The selby – a look inside Pierre Herme’s boudoir
Don’t we all love to see what’s inside someone elses fridge? What do they eat? Especially the personal space of celebrities? The selby is in your space, features photographs, paintings and videos by todd selby of interesting people and their creative spaces including actors, artists, author, and many more including Pierre Herme. He is truly a man of macarons…

A Table For Two (ATFT) is Billy Law's food blog that features best eats in Sydney and around the world with drool-worthy food photography to salivate your appetite. I also throw in a smidgen of my food and travel photography for good measure. Billy Law also happened to be a contestant on MasterChef Australia 2011.
