Crowds tend to flock to places that are fresh and fun. This is especially the case in Sydney where to be honest, is rather lacking in non-pretentious exciting restaurants. Wagaya is a nice joint and of course the star of the show are the touchscreens menus. The food is fineand the vibe and service are also great. They never pick up the phone so you’ll need to have your phone ring off the hook to make a booking.

Restaurants like Wagaya are littered all over Japan. In fact electornic ordering via touchscreen or vending machinese is rather old-school in Japan. It’s paradoxically sad and exciting to see it finally being implemented in Australia.

We've been playing our own version of "hot hot sushi" ever since seeing it on the Super Trio Show (HK) and Silent Library (Japan) so many years ago. Ah I've been meaning to try this place but either all my friends are wimps or they've been scarred by the Super Trio Show/Silent Library videos. Must go!
