Celebrating the Year of the Ox

Pssst… just in case you haven’t noticed, I am totally in the Chinese New Year vibe right now. I made cookies, and more cookies, ready for the new year this weekend. Coincidentally, Chinese New Year this year also falls on the same day as Australia Day! Hence, for the double celebrations, a group of friends are coming up to Central Coast and of course as traditional goes, I will cook up a big storm to entertain the guests.

Call me crazy but yep, I’ve been drafting my 9 courses Chinese dinner banquet for over a week now. Yes, 9 courses… well I do have 11 mouths to feed… Yes, 11 hungry mouths! But I think I pretty much have everything under control. See, I even have the menu printed up! But I have to blur it out in the pic, because it is a surprise! (I promise this people to keep it a secret!) So come back Monday for a gluttony feast!
Last but not least, Gong Xi Fa Chai! I wish you all Happy Chinese New Year and may this year brings you heaps of prosperity, happiness and good health! Oh, also with heaps of good food!

A Table For Two (ATFT) is Billy Law's food blog that features best eats in Sydney and around the world with drool-worthy food photography to salivate your appetite. I also throw in a smidgen of my food and travel photography for good measure. Billy Law also happened to be a contestant on MasterChef Australia 2011.

Oh my. Can’t wait. I so want to check out the menu, but I’m being a good girl (which, as you know, is totally against my nature!).
See you tomorrow!
happy ny mate, looking forward to your banquet!
